After the Monster Chopper, It's Time For a Monster Trike
What do you do after you go big? Go bigger!

When you do a lot of projects yourself, you tend to build up a lot of spare parts. From there, you can do one of three things. Either you hold onto them indefinitely, you sell them to someone else, or you think up new projects to use them up. (Yes, you could technically just trash them, too, but you'd only do that if you're a total monster, right? Right.)
The guys at Grind Hard Plumbing Co have completed a ton of projects in their time, so they're absolutely full up on spare parts that can be reimagined and revitalized in new builds. If you're the team that built the Monster Chopper, what do you possibly do after that?
Easy, you build something even bigger. Even more monstrous. Friends, where do you even begin with this trike?
Everything is relative; those two rear tires are the same ones found on the Monster Chopper build. The front tire is a massive tractor tire, and GHPC has the brilliant idea to make it a hubless design, and one that the rider can sit inside of while they're operating the trike. Sounds both brilliant and terrifying, if you ask me.
They're using a BMW engine and transmission, some Humvee parts, and of course relying on a whole lot of fabrication to make the things that they need to realize the vision. First up is the hubless design for that front tractor tire, which involves a whole lot of plasma cutting and 24 or so inline skate wheels.
It's unclear what kind of suspension this thing is going to have, nor how comfortable it will be to ride in once the job is complete. I also wonder where you're supposed to rest your feet while you're rolling, since you'll be sitting inside the tire. But hey, I'm sure they have something up their sleeves for that, so this is definitely a series we'll be keeping our eye on as it unfurls.
Would you want to ride inside a giant tractor wheel like this, or would it give you instant motion sickness? Let us know in the comments.
