This Kei Truck Has a Turbocharged Superbike Engine Heart, and Snowmobile Tracks
I don't know what to call it other than rad.

A good portion of Americans love the humble Kei truck. Even though they were never sold here, and F-150s reign supreme, folks have gotten on board with the minuscule muscle as they're cheap to buy, cheap to fix, and work like fine Swiss watches. That is, they never break down and can be treated like yesterday's rag.
But they've also become a hot-rodder's dream machine, as the aforementioned attributes also make them easy to turn into truly insane creations. Machines that beggar belief and can both astonish and amaze all those around them. Case in point, the Cboys' Honda Acty Kei truck.
Most days, it has wheels and tires. But for the annual YouTuber snowstravaganza held in Utah by Heavy D, the Cboys upped the ante and threw a set of snow tracks onto the back, skis from the group's bikes, and did I forget to mention that it features a 1,300cc Hayabusa engine heart? Oh yeah, and it's been turbocharged?
Chuckles, "I'm in danger."
As mentioned above, everyone's in Northern Utah—a few hours from my place and where I just was with Can-Am and Ski-Doo—for a now annual snowfest meeting of the all-mighty YouTubers that build, wrench, and destroy perfectly fine machines. You've got Heavy D Sparks, the Cboys, BUM, Cleetus McFarland, Grind Hard Plumbing Co, Whistlin Diesel, and more entering the chat with some seriously wild creations.
And while we've covered Grind Hard's conversion of its monster chopper into a monster snowbike, this diminutive Kei truck with the heart of a turbocharged superbike just seems like way more fun to me. I mean, a KTM-powered chopper is cool, but horsepowers and turbo noises and tracks are way better.
The truck has a set of Can-Am Maverick tracks, a winch for when they inevitably get stuck, front-mounted skis from the guys' snowbikes, Baja Designs lights, and the turbo 'Busa motor. They also supposedly put the entire thing together in a week. Well, after many, many, many prior failures. One of which included them flipping the whole truck.
I mean, what could go wrong? Well, click the video above and find out.
